Porter Kickham, Inc is an independent financial planning firm dedicated to delivering the principles of the Uniform Prudent Investor Act to individual clients. The focus of our work brings the rigor of institutional management to our clinets'  individual retirement accounts.

Investing is both an art and science. Every week the principals of the firm meet in order to sort out what the actions of the economy, the markets and our legislators mean for our clients. We don't take retirement for granted. Our search for new opportunities in managed sub asset classes is ongoing.

The field of prudent investment may change as well. While the law points to the work of Markowitz and Modern Portfolio Theory as a guide for making investments safe, we also understand that later works from luminaries like Sharpe, Fama and French, Brinton, Black, Bernstein and many others may guide our clients' investment policies in different directions.

Those who seek more exotic investment strategies, like tactical asset allocation or accredited strategy management may also be served here. Guy's research and consultancy to several hedge funds has produced various insights into the world of speculative investing.
